Choo Choo!! Happy Birthday Scrapmatters!!

Hello everyone and welcome to sunny New Jersey! You've probably arrived here from Trixie's Blog with tons of goodies already! I have a stacked paper for you, which I'll share in a few!

I'd like to share with you a very special birthday memory. Four years ago, for my 23rd birthday two dear friends decided to surprise me on my birthday and "kidnap me".

They drove around and around and around until we got to a beautiful park with a waterfall.

While we were there we blew bubbles,

took pictures,

and colored on the ground with chalk (nuffers is a nickname for Jennifer)

After we sang Karaoke. It was a lovely day doing lovely simple things to remind ourselves that life doesn't need to be extravagant to be joyful. It also helped me to remember that as I grow older, it doesn't mean I need to lose my inner child. :-)

Hello everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (in July). You've arrived here from Hobbes' blog and I'd bet you're looking for a christmas recipe! The recipe I will share is one that's been in my family for a long time, Pecan Tassies. However, the old time recipe uses things like lard and mollasses. Two years ago, I couldn't find those ingrediants, so I went to Allrecipes.com for a little updated recipe. This is the recipe I'll share here.

 Choo-chooo!!! You are officially pulling in to the Bergen County, NJ station of WM[squared]'s fabulous birthday blog train!!

I know you're mainly here for the template, but I'd like to share with you my favorite birthday memory. Actually, it wasn't my birthday at all! My boyfriend at the time, Jeffrey (he's now the husband) was turning 28 and I wanted to organize a little surprise party. So, I talked him into watching a movie in my room between dinner and dessert. Earlier that week, I'd slipped my mom a key and told her to sneak up the stairs with my sister and my niece and hide in the kitchen at a set time. Then, when the movie was over, I had Jeffrey head into the kitchen to get his dessert. Needless to say, my family jumped out from behind the refrigerator and Jeffrey screamed and jumped into the air. My sister, being the astute person she is, managed to snap a picture:

Needless to say it was TOO FUNNY!! Jeff was eventually a good sport and NEVER stopped talking about it!
